Specialized Care. Deep Clinical Roots.

Mind Matters was founded on the belief that individuals and families deserve access to the highest level of neuropsychological and psychological care without significant barriers.

Why Mind Matters Exists

For years, the pathway to specialized mental health care has been congested with significant barriers. We believe that timely evaluation and treatment changes outcomes. By operating as a community-based practice, Mind Matters removes the barriers oftentimes encountered in larger scaled organizations.

Our Core Mission

Board-certified expertise in a warm, non-clinical setting.

The Meaning Behind Our Logo

Mind Matters logo: a dove with a heart at its center above four colored rays

The Mind Matters logo depicts a dove with a heart at its center and four rays of color underneath it. In many traditions, the dove is a symbol of faith, hope, and love — qualities that reflect the spirit in which our work is carried out. The heart at the center represents steadfast compassion, a guiding presence in our group.

The four rays denote the dove moving forward and upward. Each color reflects the experiences and emotions of the individuals and families we serve:

  • Purple distress or struggle
  • Red courage and wisdom
  • Green ongoing growth
  • White joy and triumph

Together, these elements express the movement from challenge to resilience and ultimately to flourishing — the heart of what Mind Matters strives to support.

Dr. Zaccariello has trained and worked in the mental health field for over 30 years as a case manager and providing adult psychotherapy with both civilians and military service members.

Dr. Zaccariello founded Mind Matters to address a critical gap in healthcare — the oftentimes extremely long-faced waitlists families and individuals face to get neuropsychological and psychological services. His goal: board-certified expertise by providing clarity, direction, and hope, empowering families and individuals to grow, heal, and thrive.

A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Zaccariello brings discipline, mission focus, and a deep respect for service members and their families to his clinical practice. As a Catholic Deacon, Dr. Zaccariello staunchly believes in the sanctity and value of everyone.
