A Different Kind of Adult Therapy

Most adults don't wait until they're in crisis to want better. They want a thinking and compassionate partner — someone with the clinical depth to help them understand the patterns they keep running into, and the practical skill to help them actually change. That's the kind of therapy Mind Matters provides.

Our adult psychotherapy practice is in-person with a telehealth option led by a clinician with decades of experience in evidence-based approaches to anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and the complicated middle territory most diagnostic codes miss. We work with high-functioning adults, parents, professionals, caregivers, and anyone who wants a serious, private space to do real work.

We don't do scripted protocols; we don't rotate you between providers or trainees.

What We Help Adults Work Through

Therapy is tailored to you — not a checklist. These are the most common reasons adults reach out.

Anxiety & overwhelm

Persistent worry, panic, racing thoughts, or a body that won't settle down.

Depression & low mood

Lost motivation, exhaustion, hopelessness, or feeling flat in a life that should feel fuller.

Life transitions

Career shifts, parenthood, divorce, grief, empty nest, retirement — moments that reshape identity.

Trauma & stress recovery

Processing past experiences that still echo in the present, including medical, relational, and developmental trauma.

Relationship patterns

Recurring conflict, communication breakdowns, attachment wounds, and the work of showing up differently.

Self-worth & burnout

Perfectionism, people-pleasing, professional burnout, and the slow rebuilding of a sustainable inner life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of issues do you work with?

Anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, trauma, relationship patterns, burnout, self-worth, and the kinds of stuck places that don't fit neatly into a single diagnosis. We do not currently provide medication evaluations or management.

How long are sessions and how often will we meet?

Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes but can go up to 90 minutes for an additional fee.  Most adults start weekly, then move to bi-weekly or monthly as things stabilize. Cadence is collaborative — we adjust to what is actually working.
